Scientific Breakthrough Grants

The same enthusiasm and curiosity that drove Ted Waitt's business
success now drive his desire to support significant scientific
breakthroughs for the benefit of mankind. The Waitt Family
Foundation is interested in funding efforts that show exceptional
promise -- not just in themselves, but in their ability to break down
barriers and catalyze other advances.

One such project is the Technology Roadmap for Productive Nanosystems. This roadmap will provide a common framework and agenda for nanotechnology researchers in government, academia and industry. It will bring together experts from multiple fields to ensure that focused goals and objectives are carefully developed and widely approved, in order to hasten progress and benefits for this promising field of science.
